Going to law school meets Little House on the Prairie?

I'm pretty sure it comes with stables.

sweet... I needed a place for my bimmer.

It'd suck if one of you guys went blind too.

Am I the only one seriously interested in that place?

Here's part of the description:

easy access to town, I-64, 250, Blue Ridge Parkway, PVCC, large fenced yard, 6 acre lot, use of 300 acres trails, horse pasture board included, stall board available, Monticello HS Faculty/family house ideal

What are you looking to pay? I didn't think you could get much cheaper than about $500/mo in Charlottesville. The cheapest 1BR apartments are $700 and most of the houses with multiple bedrooms are about $400 per room.

I'm taking pills, getting injections, but I'm hanging on. Just kidding. I'm alright, it definitely stinks, but at least Tebow didn't win the Heisman (again). We're going to the Sugar Bowl which we're almost guaranteed to win against Utah. New Year's in New Orleans is a pretty good consolation prize. I'll drown my lost national championship hopes on Bourbon Street.

so now how are you holding up?

So I haven't been accepted yet, but I received an email from Jason Dugas, the admissions director, asking me to call him at my convenience. Did any of yall get an email like that? Does he just want to ask some questions or something? Sorry if this has already been discussed, 9 pages is a lot to look through.

Sounds like an acceptance, as that's UVA's usual protocol this cycle (an e-mail telling you to call them). I'm assuming Dean Trujillo has passed on the responsibility for RD acceptance calls. Hurry and call to find out!

I may be joining you guys at UVA, although I won't be able to visit the campus first.

Hey,

So who do I need to add to the list. Has anyone else decided to go to UVA?

Another question for you guys. What are you planning to do in order to prep for law school? Classes, SEO (?), etc.

I want to go travel around Latin America and live in Buenos Aires for an extended amount of time but I kind of feel bad that I won't be doing anything to prep for classes in August. Any thoughts? What are all of you planning?

If you have the opportunity to do this, DO IT. There's not much you can do to prep and even then, it's of limited value. I did the Law Preview (because it was free for me) and honestly, it didn't help all that much. You may get a jump on the first week or two of classes but it's not going to make or break you when it comes time for exams. If need be, read a hornbook while sipping Colombian coffee in a cafe in Argentina but don't feel like you HAVE to prep.

Congrats! Hope you consider UVA, though I know you have some other very nice options available.

Gar! I received an application fee waiver and invitation to apply for UVA and went complete in early/mid December, I know I need to wait longer, but its killing me!

Is anyone else unable to log on to the admitted students' site right now?
