Yea, I saw that too, but the location is wrong on Google Maps for some reason. It really confused me at first, they have it in the middle of nowhere.

It's actually right next door to Jefferson Ridge, which according to Google Maps is 4.3 miles and apparently 13 minutes, but I drove there twice when I was in Cville and it was more like a 7-9 minute drive.

Ooo good to know...thanks!

Back on Google Maps. Do you actually have to drive on I-64 to get to the law school from the Woodlands and/or Jefferson Ridge? That seems strange...

no, but that's the fastest way . . . if you go through town, you can hit some traffic, and it might take like 15 minutes

Both complexes are just a couple of minutes from the interstate and you get right off at the law school, it is a pretty straightforward quick drive with minimal traffic.

Ok. After spending the last hour falling in love with the photos of some of the "luxury" apartment complexes a little further out from school (the ones limegreen mentioned: The Woodlands, Jefferson Ridge, and Carriage Hill), I'm pretty sure I want to live in one of these places or somewhere similar. I'll definitely need to get a roommate to afford any of them, though, so what better place to start my search than TLS?

I'm a 23-year-old female (looking for a female roommate), and I'm just looking for someone nice, uhh, normal, haha, and hard-working (not toooo much of a partier). I can PM more info about myself to anyone interested.

Edit: Depending where we live, rent will be $550-700/person for a 2-bedroom apartment (including most utilities, Internet, and cable).

Which ASW and where do you live?

I'm short on cash right now and that $250 travel stipend would be very nice.

Also, I'll be on Arlington. Seems like the "new, cooler Ivy" for the Class of 2012.

Thanks, YCrevolution, I'm looking forward to meeting you in real-life.
And I hear you, A.Williams, on that ASW reimbursement cash being nice. When I saw the letter in the mail, my thought process was: "envelope from UVA law Foundation! Sounds fancy. Maybe its a scholarship! awww, just $100 bucks. Wait, $100 bucks!"
Then I went to the grocery store.
I have a feeling I'm going to have a hard time staying focused until August....haha

Holy Shit, I'm going to be living on the same street as A.Williams - and he's famous on the internet...

In all seriousness, I think it'll be great. Based on the geography/relative distances to Chipotle, I'd say Arlington >>>>> Ivy.

Maybe we could start a list of moving in dates in the OP so we can have pool parties and barbeques and wile away our last moments before the crippling depression and anxiety set in.

I'm kind of curious about this. My lease starts July 24th... yeah. But I'll probably be in and out of C'Ville from that moment until the beginning of classes.

When is everyone else planning on moving in?

I gotta go for my ACC rivals, ACC FTW!!!

I'm glad everybody is loving UVA, but I hope this isn't a sign that our class will be over-enrolled.

Congrats to all who got in! (live on Arlington)

i wonder what happens if the class is over-enrolled

It was over enrolled last year, I don't think they'll make that mistake again.

Didn't that happen last year, to some extent?
