Aug 1. I'm also down to help out anyone who may need it.
I'll be moving in on Aug. 2nd.

My lease doesn't start until noon on Aug. 16th :(

ouch... since all the first years (1Ls?) [freshmen?] take the same classes, do ours all start at the same time as the other classes or is it late?

ah, looked it up - orientation is mon/tues aug 17/18 and classes start the 19th. that's a decent respite, and makes moving in the 16th a little less painful

"University of Virginia" just reappeared suddenly on the Discover Student Loans website. I swear it wasn't there before.

It was a great game. Glad to see their second baseman screw up today to allow us to tie and go ahead.

Unfortunately I didn't get to see it because Arkansas/FSU was the national game and I'm not in VA this weekend. Hopefully tomorrow's game will be on instead of Texas/TCU Game 2.

It was on ESPN360, just FYI. It will likely be tomorrow, too.

UNC destroyed ECU 10-1. I might be able to see both of them advance tomorrow.
Can't get ESPN360 at my house either.

I think I'll tough it out at home and pray that UVA Game 3 takes precedence. If not, it's not that bad since either we'll lose and I'll be happy I missed the painful experience or we'll win and I'll get to see the World Series games next week anyway (unless ESPN decides to pre-empt the CWS with a bowling tournament or something).

It's always during Thanksgiving break weekend so I'll probably never see one but students just walk into the stadium with their IDs for football so that's pretty easy as far as I know. Getting student guest tickets involves a lottery but I'm not sure what the supply/demand is for that. I think VT guest tickets are like $50.
Considering the epic game UT had last night
UT didn't play last night...?

If you want to drive to PA, I'm down for watching the game. I know some good sports bars in the area.

A 3-hr college baseball game isn't worth a 3-hr round trip, though.

i'm also in PA if that gives you guys any incentive to have a little UVa baseball get together. could turn into a real party..

Really? Wow, I come from a land of few high stakes/exciting games (sorry, W&M, it's not me... it's you). Anyone else excited about an actual sports franchise, if you will?

I am. My school was D3 so its going to be exciting to be able to go see D1 sports, especially for free. Watched the game today and excited to see them move on.

YES. Definitely. Even if UVA's not winning, the fact that it's a major conference excites me.

My school was D1, but Northern Arizona vs. CSU Sacramento football games just never got my blood pumping.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
