It's Michigan for me too! I'll be starting in the summer. And if the rock band needs a classically trained oboist, count me in!

Re: Michigan 2012
I've thought about posting that exact same thing for the past week - TLS Michigan students need to put their names down in the TLS thread to get some more street cred. Rhymes not necessary.summertimechi wrote:yes! and we need ppl to post in the official tls class of 2012 thread! not enough mich representation in there yet. especially considering how many of us post here!

Re: Michigan 2012
Nobody coming straight from undergrad yet? I'm surprised--I thought the general mix was about half and half.
Undergrads, never fear--I promise that I personally am at least as hip now as I was when I was in undergrad. Oh yeah.
EDIT: Oh, and while I was writing this, out comes the first (actually second, sorry, wine and jet lag) undergrad. Sweet!

Ha, if we just double the list we have now — and there are definitely posters I've seen floating around who aren't on the list — we'll have a tenth of the incoming class. Nice.
...Also a little lame.

From Detroit, though currently in Chicago. 2 years out of UG. Law and Order SVU
PK, know anyone willing to give some reasonably-priced guitar lessons? I'm taking classes now and hoping I can keep up my skills (the whole 10 chords I know. ha) once school starts.
BTW, anyone who finds themselves in Chicago at some point should take a class at the Old Town School of Folk Music.. fantastic classes even if you've never been musically inclined (I sometimes get a little bored because I have all of the theory knowledge, just not the guitar virtuosity that i'd kill to have). AND. It's BYOB, so you can bring drinks to class. Good times.

Bro, there is a 1L that is a beast. He's fucking fantastic and I'm sure he'd be willing to sit down and play with you. You'd learn so much from that dude just by watching him play. There are a bunch of decent musicians and if you just want to get together and play, we'd love to play whatever. 10 chords is good enough to play a lot of songs and you'll pick up stuff really quick playing casually with us.PK, know anyone willing to give some reasonably-priced guitar lessons? The Class of 2011 thread had 27/361 (about 7% of the class) last year, so we're expecting you all to beat that by a handy margin. At least try not to get your asses handed to you by the UVA crowd (again). They hit 45/370 -- 12% -- before it all ended.Vail67 wrote:Ha, if we just double the list we have now — and there are definitely posters I've seen floating around who aren't on the list — we'll have a tenth of the incoming class. Unless you have Croley, who goes ahead and crams it in. I can't complain though... it made Jurisdiction SUPER easy (and 75% a waste of time) when I took it.PKSebben wrote:There isn't even any jurisdiction ya big baby!tl wrote:Civ Pro makes me want to jump off a bridge. Why is this class required?
