Numbers don't mean everything. I got a Darrow and my numbers were remarkably close to yours.

If they had your app and got your LSDAS report electronically the same day they requested it, why would it take longer than 4 days to go complete?

on LSN, every ED applicant took 12-14 days to go complete, I thought that was how long michigan took.

What point in the cycle? It tends to be quicker after a certain point.

It could also be that they wanted to make sure they got you in there for ED consideration.
Sometimes I think the LSN numbers are affected by the fact that it makes Michigan longer than other schools to get the status check log-in information to you, and you may go complete before the status check lets you know. I think it took me almost 3 weeks after applying RD to get the status check log-in.

This thread is getting way hijacked, but oh well!

Michigan, according to LSN, definitely goes high and low with the applicants that get Darrow scholarships. Any idea, just a girl, what made you attractive to them?

I'm not quite sure what high and low means. Do you mean, high GPA low LSAT or something?

I am thinking it was my soft factors, because they were really the only distinguishing thing I had in my application. And I felt like mine in comparison to many friends' factors were fairly mediocre. Although, I think I had extremely strong LOR, which could have also helped.

Haha that would be pretty sweet possum. Alas, it wouldn't really work with my schedule-I'm leaving my job 2.5 months early, so my spring will consist of long hours at work. Besides, with summer start I will be moving out there May 16th anyway.

Have you figured out what you're doing for the 1L summer?

Nope. I think places aren't allowed to take applications/resumes until Dec. 1st from 1Ls. Career services wasn't even allowed to talk to us until Nov. 1st.

Oh yeah I forgot about those timing rules. I'm sure you will be set if you're looking for IP work though, they still seem to be in-demand. And by in-demand I really just mean not being fired on large scale ala abovethelaw stories of other firms.

EmmyD is there, I think.
If it's any comfort -- I've been here for ninety days, and I have no idea who she is. I might have even met her and just not made the connection. I have seen at least one person on here comment that she's pretty quiet in real life. Overall Michigan seems to have a much higher ratio of human beings to insufferable assholes than you would expect from a law school, and that counts for a lot. These people will be your fellow alumni for the rest of your life, after all. It's so much more than just three ugly winters in a cold stone dungeon -- when it's over you still get to pull all-nighters and weekends with them out in the real world too.

Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.

This is so goddamn credited. As a transfer I've had the experience of being at another law school, and I know that my experience is pretty limited, but Michigan has seriously decent people. There are still a couple insufferable assholes but mostly everyone here has a lot of decorum and a good majority are genuinely decent people.

Then my plan is working. I know there are a bunch of TLS people in our class, but I have only figured out the ones who posted obvious things that also showed up on facebook or something, like dog-tars or photos of them IRL. If you're in my section, then you most likely know who I am and just don't know it.
