If I included “English tutor in Prague” as part of my extra-curriculars/volunteer experience, should I also include “Study abroad in Prague” or would it be clear given the tutor position?

Tutoring in Prague and studying in Prague are different. If you did indeed do both while in Prague, you should put both. If you only tutored, then saying you studied abroad would not be accurate.

I put it under education info. I listed the school name, and next to it, "Semester Abroad."

I have the institutions at which I studied abroad listed under education. I arranged it that way to place a big emphasis on my study abroad experiences, since they have prevented me from having internships like many law school applicants have. I'm also in an International Honors program, and study abroad is required, so my studies abroad are a main feature of my resume. You should definitely put it on your resume, but it's really up to you as to where it goes.

Haha, typing on an iPod touch in a lecture = too slow. +1 to the other posters who answered first; it looks like Education is the way to go.

You think it should go under Education even if I studied abroad at my own school (NYU) but at its abroad site? In other words, it wasn't a different university from my own back home, just a different city.

The studying seems best suited for the Education section. Tutoring might be best under another section, such as experience or employment (if you were paid for it).

Similar q - I studied through a program that let me take classes at multiple colleges/universities in a big city. Should I put both universities under education? Or just one line with the study abroad institute place's name?

It should go on your resume/C.V. If you were studying, put it with your education. If you did additional tutoring, but that under work experience/teaching experience (whatever you have it labeled). I think you can play around with whatever makes the most sense to you as long as it has some semblance of organization.

HAHA... I'm an NYU student who also studied abroad in Prague. I put it under the activities section under the education section.

That's pretty funny. We have very similar stats also. Were you there this past spring semester?
