LSAC Active applications, how to delete?
This probably sounds incredibly trivial, but I cannot seem to delete applications that I have started on LSAC. I tried to narrow my list of schools down, but it won't let me delete them from my "active applications" list. Is there a trick to deleting them, or are they stuck on the list? However, I can delete them from just my regular list of schools, but it doesn't translate to the active apps list. Thanks.

I had this problem also. You need to take any away any attachments you have made to that particular app, including unassigning LOR's you have attached to a particular school.

thanks idiot. I know where the delete button is, but it wouldn't let me click on it because I had assigned LORs to that school.

If you go to the school application and click on the letter of recommendation tab, just unassign the letters. Then the delete button will work.

There's no option to "unassign" I'm having the same problem...

I had this problem and called LSAC. They told me you actually can't delete an active application. If you don't want to submit the app, just don't click submit.
FYI - this applies to your LOR writers as well. I had someone back out on writing one for me (not for any bad reasons on my part - she's just my flaky ex-manager). If she decides to eventually write one for me, oh let's say by the time I'm ready to graduate from law school, I just leave it be and don't assign it to any schools.
The LSAC rep also confirmed that nothing really happens if you don't delete those items. It's just an extremely annoying thing to have them on there, but that's pretty much it.

Just click on view/edit your LORs.JennBNYC wrote:There's no option to "unassign" I'm having the same problem...
Click on assign letters for the school you want to delete.
It should list the names of your recommenders under the "Assign Letters to this School". Just change it from the name of recommender to "select" and submit.
The Delete button should then be available.
