They're out now. I hate them. I've checked Virginia's half a dozen times already even though I am regular decision. Today I got Vandy and Illinois.... I hate them.

I wonder if they keep track of web hits for the trackers. I think it would be funny to see a graph of number of hits per day over the cycle for an individual applicant.

Says No Record for me, but I don't think Cornell sends notices till at least December, based on last year's data from LSN.

I would hope Cornell is on the ball this cycle since they won't have to field calls left and right from applicants wondering if their Dean's Cert has been received.

I called on Friday and they said they would be downloading applications to the new system this week, and I could expect a complete alert this week. Nothing for me next.

Now that I think of it, I suppose I should have shared that with the group at the time. Whoops.

Totally understand. I got sucked in after reading all about the Avon Institute.

My mom told me yesterday she'd like to wear a Cornell Law sweatshirt the best out of all the other schools I'm applying to.

Add me to the list of Cornell=top choice. I'm feeling very pessimistic though.

I think my GPA is probably just too low, I've also decided that I'm among the least compelling people applying.

I've had a crappy day too, friend. Cheer up. You're compelling to me and everyone knows that pearalegal = Cornell's admissions committee.

Ditto on the Avon Institute, it's exactly what I want to do. For a while I was hung up on Penn b/c its so close to friends and family for me. But the more I read about Cornell the more I'm loving it. Going to visit next week so I'm sure that will help make up my mind. It's probably all for the best, because unless I manage three or four more LSAT points on Saturday, Penn is not likely.

Best of luck. Also just to verify, did you all write a separate page to answer the why cornell question? I've heard that folks are doing that.

I didn't, but only because I stick strongly to the don't give them stuff they don't ask for mindset. I'm sure its a good idea though.

That was my thinking. I don't want to lose points for not following directions.

I don't think you'll lose points---I just figure they pick the stuff they ask you to send for a reason. I'll be sending in a very detailed LOCI if I get waitlisted though.

I feel like a tool making this.

But as more and more of us get in applications and begin to receive emails and status checkers from schools, I thought it would be a good idea of have a place we can all update one another when we...have updates.

I'll start.

Complete emails from: UCLA, BU, ND, WashU

Emails and Status Checker: UVA

Waiting on a whole lot more.

I got a status checker email from Cornell, UVA, and Duke. All within the last week or so.
