I was going to apply to Alabama as a safety. 168 and 3.9 The lack of a fee waiver from them is probably going to prevent me from doing so. I have very good numbers for Alabama and since I am from the region, I am obviously not averse to the region. But this slight has really pissed me off.

Wait a bit to make sure that their batch emailer gets all of them out.

Are you people serious? The $15 LSAC fee and the hour or however long you spend filling out the app are worth the $20 in song downloads?

it's $12, and

an hour? honestly?

Add me to the list of people exploiting this fee waiver.

After your first app, it should not take you an hour to fill out an app. All you have to do is read through the app, make sure the Common information is correct, click a few boxes in the right place, then attach the same documents you used for all your other apps. Takes me like 10 mins to go through an app. If it is a school I care about, I will of course take longer and do extra items, but if it is a safety or giving out free music then not to worried about the "Why X....?" parts of the app.

Edit: I would love to see at the end of this cycle all the rejects in the top right corner of the law school numbers chart for Alabama.

I guess in theory you could submit a PS that was just the word "ASS" and then fill in the blank spots of the application with "bleh"s or "glarg"s. What're they gonna do? You got your free music and they can now deny you.

I'm so annoyed- UCLA sent me one, and they're a better school...now I REALLY don't wanna pay that $70!

USC didn't even e-mail me back when I asked for one. UCLA has been extremely helpful. I think my best impressions of admissions offices so far belongs to UCLA and Michigan.

also: i thought people were joking when they said Catholic's email was "butts." this morning i found out they were not, but i still really can't believe it

+1/2. I give half-credit to UCLA and half to Vanderbilt. Their office is great to talk to. I find myself wanting to call them up just to chat and see how life is going.

 Sounds like a plan, that will teach them to apply "Free Prize Inside" style marketing to law school admissions.

Did anyone get one from Columbus?

My Yahoo email account cut off at Fee Waiver from Columb... in the subject heading and I was pumped thinking it was from Columbia until opening it.

Fair enough, you were right I got one basically right after I posted that, making me look like an ass. The email is absolutely hilarious and very much concerning in my opinion. Just not used to getting a law school fee waiver that says offer good as long as supplies last.

Haha, now I remember. Ordinarily 3rd grade humor makes a large impression on me, but I was distracted wondering how I qualified for a fee waiver from Columbia with a 166 LSAT.

What's going on with Northwestern? Also has anyone with solid stats applied to USC already? Is it a hidden CRS waiver or should we be expecting an email (in December like they did last year)?
