I got the michigan note too, from someone who went there in the 90's and was from the west coast, like me. I'm impressed! michigan just scored several points in my eyes..

Cornell finally replied to my request for a waiver with a, "don't call us, we'll call you."

Also got one from Michigan w/ a special note from the dean that made me really happy. I kind of love that school right now.

Got Cornell, UVA, Duke (not priority track), Vandy, Suffolk, and Mich (with a decently specific handwritten note, which seems to be standard). All unrequested.

there was a letter and a viewbook. the letter was just a basic form letter, with a "P.S.: We're also waiving your application fee. Why not give us a try?" The one catch is I have to send them the letter when I apply as proof of the fee waiver. i think what happens is you pay through lsac, mail them the sheet, and then get a reimbursement. seems a little convoluted...

Just choose the option that says you will mail payment to the school instead of pay via LSAC.

Has anyone tried opening the W&M application yet? I didn't see my fee waiver applied. Is it hidden?

mine didn't show up until I had the application ready for checkout, at the end of the process.

anyone else get the michigan viewbook, the mention of finding your scores on lsac, the letter, with 'love' underlined, and NO MENTION OF A FEE WAIVER? maybe i'll just ask them for one.

at what point does one choose "pay school directly" instead of paying thru lsac? I want to use my cornell waiver, but it just shows up in my cart on lsac...and says it will be charged to my credit card....

For Cornell, you can choose to pay the LS directly. And then send them a copy of your Fee Waiver.

It's at the end when you select your payment option. You won't miss it.

Let Cornell know, hopefully they can cut you a check.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
