But seriously, are you guys all retaking in December? I would think that most people who took in June and Sept and are neurotic enough to update this thread daily would have already sent out all their apps.

I just sent mine out this week. I know that's behind the curve for TLS, but it's still earlier than 90% of applicants, even to T14 schools.

Just make sure you aren't disrespectful. I am sure even some TTT admissions people are on first name basis with T14 admission crews.

And I'm sure they appreciate you calling their schools TTTs.

Same here, anybody know if this is buisness as usual, or if the economic circumstances are affecting (increasing) fee waivers?

Did that make you feel good or pigeonholed?

Indifferent, and maybe a little unimpressed they couldn't combine the resource information for both into one e-mail.

Has anyone received a fee waiver from Maryland since the September LSAT? Any luck requesting one?

They make you fill out this huge form and it's basically need-based. Only worth it if you really wanna go there.

Me too. I thought he was dead, but apparently he spends his time nowadays encouraging people to apply there. Good for him, I suppose.

Has anyone received Chicago upon request? It looks like they are not too positively inclined to requests, but maybe there's been an exception!?

I'm still waiting for mine from Sept. retake and leaning increasingly toward not spending the $87 or whatever to submit there without one...

So I applied to BU, and then got a mailing offering me a fee waiver a week later. When I tried to get the fee refunded (after all, they are the ones who told me it would be waived), they refused. Really seems wrong to me.

You need to understand the golden rule:

He who has the gold makes the rules.

They control the process and have your 70 or 80 bucks. Of course they are not going to give it back. Did they tell you it would be waiver before or after you applied?

Also, maybe they will compensate with $ later on.

Oh, I know its them with the leverage and that they owe me nothing in the end. I just figured that, seeing as I spent so much money as an undergrad there, they could perhaps do me the slightest favor on that one. Its like buying something and then it going on sale the next day, and you asking for the difference refunded. Of course the business has no obligation to do so, but a savvy business that wants to have you as a future customer will often do so. Think about the Iphone, and how they lowered the price by 100 or so only a few weeks after the original came out. Instead of telling those who bought it first to shove it, they refunded the difference. Just seems to speak poorly to the school, especially since they sent me a letter saying it would be waived.

Double burn that your an undergrad there. I would be peeved too. Same thing happened to me with Notre Dame but I did not want to even ask because I applied EA and did not want to be a bother. Try snail mailing it in and see you have any better results.

Yeah, I don't think I want to burn a bridge on this one. The Director of Admissions called me up to speak about it, and I wasn't gonna go all out getting angry about it to someone who will have a say in my admissions decision.

Just got the Chicago email/waiver today too! Very exciting because I've only got a 171/3.75. I thought they were out of my range -- or at least definitely out of my fee waiver range.
