I just got an email waiver from Regent. Score!
But only on the condition that I "feel that law is more than just a profession, but may be [my] calling". Damn...do they have a way of verifying how selfless my lawyerly ambitions are, or is this one of those 'honor code' things?

(somewhat) similar stats... 3.98/175. But PoorOrpheus got one with stats closer to yours, and others have not. Columbia says they only grant fee waivers based on the LSAT... but that's starting to look like a big fat lie.FretMeister wrote:178/3.77
Where is my Columbia waiver? Anyone with similar stats get/not get one? Are we thinking there are more coming?

Re: 2009-2010 Fee Waiver Tracker Thread
is it even worth mentioning the sad lot of unranked schools that bit at my pitiful LSAT score?
i mean, i will post them if we are trying to include every school, or if anyone else wants to commiserate with me
i can't wait for december. i will make them rescind those fee waivers with SHAME and DISAPPOINTMENT!

W&M Waiver
165/3.25 (LSDAS)
looks like my LSAT is just under 75th, LSDAS GPA under 25th
must say i will be proud to increase W&M's selectivity

Re: 2009-2010 Fee Waiver Tracker Thread
UCLA told me straight up that I do not qualify for a merit-based fee waiver (jerks), GW told me they don't give those out, and USC directed me to their need-based fee waiver application. Oh well, got fee waivers from Emory, W&M, and WUSTL (two days before they emailed me one through CRS...wasted effort).
Anyone have any luck getting solicited fee waivers from UCLA, GW, or USC?

Re: 2009-2010 Fee Waiver Tracker Thread
I think it's based mostly on the self-reported GPA in info you give to the CRS section on the LSAC website. I took the LSAT last year, long before I was going to apply or send in transcripts, and I got a full wave of fee waivers congratulating me on my LSAT/GPA.njskatchmo wrote:Does the fact that my transcript has not been received yet make it less likely that I will receive waivers? My friend and I go to the same school, have the same GPA (he has his transcript in), and he has a 171 and I a 173. Yet he has received several more emails including Duke.
P.S. Regent has a beach? Will they waive the cost of my boogie board and sand bucket?

Lol, I got a waiver from 4 schools ranked higher than Vandy and a whole bunch from close, but lower ranked schools. I think Vandy hates me just as much as I hate them.doinmybest wrote:Still no Vandy, or W&M... Just got Notre Dame.
They did invite me to interview on campus at my undergrad that I graduated 2 years from.

I received one from UCLA yesterday. GW told me the same. And USC sent me an email saying they'd be sending them out tomorrow.86revolt wrote:UCLA told me straight up that I do not qualify for a merit-based fee waiver (jerks), GW told me they don't give those out, and USC directed me to their need-based fee waiver application. Yeah I think Vandy hates me as well. I got waivers from a bunch of schools that are ranked higher. That being said, Emory must hate me as well.Pearalegal wrote:Lol, I got a waiver from 4 schools ranked higher than Vandy and a whole bunch from close, but lower ranked schools. Re: 2009-2010 Fee Waiver Tracker Thread
I kinda feel bad sometimes bashing Regent and all these other T3- law schools. I mean, we all kind of treat it like a joke, right? But they actually think they're doing us a favor. Obviously someone goes to these law schools, but why would they send out emails to people with 160+ 3.0+ stats?
Alright, done feeling bad now. Regent just congratulated me on earning their fee waiver. STFU Regent, you're not doing me any favors...just cluttering my inbox.
