Illinois and UCLA, just today, to be more specific. I don't want them to go to waste...

Got Cornell yesterday as well (via snail mail).

Got Berkeley waiver granted today via email (requested 10-30, self-reported need based). It took them a few weeks, but I'm really glad to have received it, yay!

UC Davis, about a week ago
Regent, two seperate envelopes, this is I think the third time they've sent me something.
Notre Dame
a few schools I've never heard of.. kind of surprised that the waivers keep coming, they seemed to have stopped for a few weeks then started trickling in again last week.

Me too! That was a big surprise. But I don't get why they wouldn't send out e-mails about it. Isn't the whole point to encourage people to apply? If you don't know you're getting a waiver, what's the point? (Not that I'm complaining!)
Maybe they don't want tons of people applying just because they got fee waivers, but when somebody is ready to spend that $100, it could create a positive impression of the school on the applicant if they see it waived when they're taken to the payment screen. Northwestern basically just gave you $100.
I had the same hidden fee waiver from NU. Very, very nice surprise, but I'm flummoxed as to why they wouldn't advertise this.

175/3.47 for me.
Do you have to request one from NYU (and other, similar schools) or do they automatically send them when you submit your app (if you are not expecting a need-based waiver)? Sorry if this is a dumb question. I looked for the answer in the thread and can't seem to find it.

I got one unsolicited a few weeks after I got my LSAT score. I'm 3.51/173. It was the highest-ranked fee waiver I got.

I got one and i am at 156/3.45 (3.79) and URM.

I probably still don't have a chance, so I don't know why they would really send me one...

Quick Question:

Did not register for CRS when I registered for LSDAS. Took the September LSAT, applied to many schools already.

Is it worth registering for CRS now hoping to get waivers from the schools I have yet to apply to? Or should I stick to emailing them directly?

Thanks!

You might at least try registering. Maybe when they get the Dec test takers they will get Sept again, too.

So you can get a fee waiver after you have already applied? Can you still use the fee waiver then? I am definitely interested in this because I am waiting on my December LSAT but I want to apply ASAP but any potential fee waivers I won't receive until after I have applied everywhere. It would be nice to save a few bucks if possible still!

Generally no, fee waivers have to be offered before applying. Most schools will even say it in their fee waiver. Cornell is different though, you have to send it in to get your money back. It isn't fun at all....

What is the min. LSAT with which you would send an email request to Cornell for a fee waiver? I am above 75% but just wondering what people think...

How soon after the September LSAT scores were released did people start getting fee waivers? I took the LSAT for the first time in December and expect to score in the high 160s or low 170s. I want to submit my applications ASAP but having at least some fee waivers would really help finance wise. Any thoughts on when fee waiver offers might go out post December score release date?

I don't know if someone wants to start a December LSAT application fee waiver thread like they did last year, but I received my first waiver of the cycle(Cardozo), and thought it might be useful to bump this thread.

Oops, sorry, missed the thread at the bottom of the page. Sorry.

Fee waiver from NYU in the mail yesterday about three months too late. I even took the LSAT in September, so I'm very confused. Maybe just trying to improve their acceptance rate by inducing marginal candidates like me to apply?

One from UNC via email today!! I am really pumped about this as I had really wanted a waiver back in November when applying. I decided not to apply then because I had already gotten into a higher ranked school with money. But now it's just $12, so I figure why not.
