What was your undergraduate mean LSAT score?

Postby Panther7 » Wed Oct 07, 2009 8:23 pm

You can find the number on your LSDAS transcript.

Mine was a 154, just curious what the range on these might be.

My college didn't have enough data for a mean. But it appears a majority of my alumna who have taken it have scored below the 20th percentile....

Well, since I have data for two schools not listed, I'll chip in:

St. Norbert College: 151
Michigan Technological University: 154

I find it amusing that although NU has a mean of 161, 22% of the students still score 95th percentile or higher, and then it trickles down for the lower percentiles. A very left-skewed curve. I was excited to be above the median until I realized 22% of NU performs about as well as I did...

All undergrad GPAs are created equal lalalallaa

Stanford 164
Williams 164
Pomona College 165
Princeton 165
Swarthmore 165
Yale 165
Harvard 166

This is hilarious, though not surprising.

That says nothing about whether a GPA means more from a top school.

You're right. The innate ability to score on average in the top 92% on the LSAT represents nothing about the rigor and intelligence or competitiveness of the student body.

Which has absolutely nothing to with whether it's harder to get a good GPA in a top school (except for classes that use a bell curve, which are rare outside of the sciences).

That the students at top undergrads also tend to be the most intelligent and highest scoring on the LSAT?
Something that is regularly denied up and down on this forum.

You're right... rigor and competitiveness among such an average is clearly non-representative of the ease or difficulty in which a GPA is attainable... especially at places like Stanford where the median GPA is almost identical to many state holes.
