I am so glad that I stayed up late tonight.
...looks like Miami moved up a 11 spots, which is encouraging. Hawaii fell from the top 100. Gonzaga cracking the top 100 (just barely) was a surprise.
Lots of big movements in the rankings, is that normal?
When will the school profiles be updated on TLS?
*Thanks Ken!!!!

UNLV moving up 13 spots is definitely great to see...really appreciate the thread and real rankings.

By rule, Davis & Hastings must exchange positions each year.

Interesting stuff.
Michigan stays at 9, which is interesting since it was tied for 9th with Northwestern and UVA who both dropped.
Also, I updated my little chart thing from another thread. It doesn't have Northwestern or HYSCCN (only because the latter seem pretty constant year-to-year, and because I didn't apply to Northwestern). If anyone wants me to update it for NU, let me know (and send me their rankings from 90-09):

Ken, TLS should definitely have it's own law school rankings starting next year. Better start thinking about a rankings formula now!

I don't know about that. I don't think TLS has the resources to do it right. Unless Ken recently hit the lottery, I think the most we should shoot for is more comprohensive profiles with data from current students.
Talk to me if you need some info on Duke Ken. I am actually going to try and maintain a blog throughout my law school experience, hopefully that will give you some good info.

GWU down 8??? Indiana Bloomington +13 (WTH?).
It's about time Harvard is ahead of Stanford. I'll be interested to see the scores. Columbia/NYU might be separating themselves pretty clearly, making HYSCCN kind of pointless.

Columbia - 88
NYU - 87
Palo Alto - 84
Chicago - 84

Until you look at the peer assessment scores and gpa/lsat of Chicago compared to NYU. When you take clerkships and other placement into account...
Well, its back to CCN, anyway. Berkeley remains an anomaly, but I think it stands as a nice counterpoint alternative to the seriousness of Chicago. They each have their personalities, and something to offer that the other doesn't, you know.

Good to see USF back in the T2.
Also Davis over Hastings? Wow.
Which schools dropped down to T3?

What?! My beloved Rutgers-N fell below Camden! NOOO!
Edit: Also the Cuse fell off T2. Jeez IU-Indy fell 19 spots. Buffalo went up 15.

Anyone have a link for the national university rankings for this year (2010)? Are they out too?

I'm sooo happy all the naysayers were wrong about Berkeley's "demise." Can't wait to rub it in that we're still number 6.
Kinda sad that everyone was right about Rutgers - Newark, though. I still have a soft spot for that school.

Anybody know the reason for the W&L slide? Numbers, reputation scores?

I am sad about Rutgers-N too
Pacific McGeorge, the other school I'm considering is now off the list.

Does anyone know if they only have a Top 10 for Part Time? I'm curious to see where the rest of the schools stand.

Congrat to UNC and S Carolina! Both +8!
UNC to top 25 or bust!
