I was going to stay until July 31, but my boss suggested that I show up for 2-3 hours on August 1 (it's a Saturday). He checked with HR, and they said I could keep my free health and dental benefits throughout August if I work at least 2 hours. I'm excited to leave and start school, but I'll miss my co-workers.

2 more days left.

I don't mind the job, but hate commuting.

My last day is next week Friday!!!!!! I'm going straight from undergrad to law school, so I just had a temp position at a law firm. It wasn't that hard core, which was good. But I'm ready to have a week of relaxation before I move.

I've met with everyone but my boss, who's conveniently out of town this week. So far it's been all positive. Having hung back and barely shown up the past year means that a minimal amount is necessary for the "transition".

I've got three days left. Of course, I'm so distracted that I'm going to have to stay late today to finish my work, but oh well.

16 days to go...

Been training my replacement this week. Its so nice to give all my work to someone else. It really frees me up to shop for items to go in my new apartment and check out my favorite web pages. I dont see why I'm still here... Oh well, I'll just continue collecting my pay check!

My fear is that my replacement is going to take my office, then I won't have anywhere to go to surf the net/check TLS.

Those decisions are more easily made when you're a short-timer. If your friend needs the job and isn't going to law school, then it becomes easier to take a little bit of abuse.

I'm in the same situation. Would walk without too much prompting, but everyone is being super nice--and they don't even know that I'm on the downside.

Last (official) day for me too! I'll come in some later to make some cash, but I won't need to be here at 8:30 AM and I can just work from home or after hours if I want. YAAAAY!

Also, spoke to my boss (who's out of town) yesterday, and she said if I'm done with my work at noon I can leave then as long as it's fine with my coworkers. And it is. Of course, I haven't looked at my project for today yet, so it could be I won't be done til the end of the work day anyway.

EDIT: Woohoo! My project will take me all of 30 minutes. I'm outta here at noon!

Same as JoshHK. Working through August to squeeze a few more dimes. Hard to listen to all the lucky folk that have already or will soon cut the shackles.
