Good luck to everyone!
When was your letter dated, if you don't mind? Just curious if it came today because of the postal service or because CLS sent out acceptances in more than one batch.

Nothing north of Boston. Please Columbia let me in. I don't want to get shut out of both NYU and Columbia.

Aholmes, CLS accepts people with 3.4 GPAs with your LSAT score.

It would be really weird if they did not accept you.

When did you apply? I am surprised you haven't heard from NYU yet.

My letter was dated 1/22, so it was in the first batch.

And it could be that some of the letters are dated 1/22 but were sent a day after the first ones went out.

I applied beginning of November. I have two LSAT scores, my lower one being a 162. I know NYU claims to average, so maybe that is why I haven't heard from them. Maybe tomorrow.

That's such a huge jump in your score that it shouldn't matter for NYU.

And according to CLS's graph on LSN for last cycle, virtually everyone with a 174 got accepted with a GPA >3.6.

Nothing again for me today...I know that people's letters were dated the 22nd, but were they postmarked the 22nd or the 23rd? Our mail today was mostly postmarked on the 22nd, so if Columbia is the 23rd then I still have a chance for it to come tomorrow...

It was postmarked the 22nd for many people, myself included.

Not sure if they sent out another batch on the 23rd.

gah just checked my mail, nothing yet... I've been really hoping to get some money from Columbia, I'd like to be in NY. But if it gives other people hope, I'm a 177/3.86, and I went complete in mid-November. So maybe I screwed something up somehow, or maybe they're still going.... anyone else with pretty high numbers not hear yet?

I know someone from a previous cycle whose acceptance was lost in the mail...

You are definitely going to be admitted.

I'm a 3.53 from an Ivy with a 179 and I haven't heard either.

Here's the best part: I went to my UG mailroom today, saw a thick white envelope in the box, took it out.. it was USC. I also had a slip to go retrieve a larger package from the student help window and it was some misc. material from NYU. About 5 minutes later I found out my friend got in as of today. I went to go eat lunch, went back to the mailroom and there was ANOTHER _new_ slip in my box so I went to the student help window again and gave them the slip. The guy comes back a couple minutes later and asks me "Shane?" (My name is NOT Shane).. turns out that they put some other kids slip in the wrong mailbox. What a cruel, cruel joke.

I haven't heard anything yet, and I'm 177/4.0. I got the request for fall quarter grades just the week before last, though (I sent in my updated transcript the week before they requested it, then a letter directly to the law school on January 15th or so). Blah.

Wait did everyone who got in get the fall grades request? I didn't... and I'm still in UG...

Not really sure. Just got a call from my mom and she said I got something from Columbia and it was the Admitted Students Handbook and a letter.
