Thanks ... I appreciate it... But if it's a virus, I will hunt you down and kill you. Albanian blood feud style.

Dude, awesome job. Thanks!

I know this probably matters to no one but me, but the U Memphis LSAT 25th %ile and 75th %ile are inverted. The 25th (154) is listed in the 75th, and vice versa.

In this particular non-scientific sample at this particular point in time, the spreadsheet correctly predicts 88%+ (with positive/negative "Consider') of admissions decisions based on admissions index formulas and a school's 25/75 numbers. While this is certainly not enough to conclude that this is a good predictor ("Negative Consider" is particularly weak), it's certainly far better than nothing.

Of course, the best evidence would be TLSers. So, once you start getting decisions, see how close the spreasheet was at predicting.

Even though its a small sample, the results (so far) are really good.

Does LSN export an Excel/STATA file for applicants?

Damn, that's great. It seems to be a good predictor. Good job!

EDIT: I did my own.

Admit: 1/1
Positive consider: 4/4
Negative consider: 0/1
Deny:0/0
Total: 5/6

BTW, anyone know how multiple LSAT scores affect this?

I defied the UGeorgia presumptive "Deny." I'll let you know how it turns out when I hear back from all my schools. "Weak Consider" is a good idea. Thanks for creating this!

YCrevolution, thank you so much for posting this! You are awesome and this must have taken a lot of time to make. Nontheless, we really appreciate it. It takes out SOME of the anxiety I feel waiting for my first decision. Can I ask you what a positive and negative consider means? How do I know if mine is positive or negative?

As to your question: positive means that your admissions index score is above that of the (roughly) median applicant at a school. Negative means the same thing except "below" instead of "above". It's not in the original spreadsheet (it just says "Consider), and I plan on adding it in the next version.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to the next version. Damn those schools that don't post their formulas!

YC...pretty amazing work. I'm reticent to post the stats I've collected thus far...but, suffice it to say, they've been predicted almost precisely by the index sheet.

YCrevolution, thanks for putting this together! I haven't heard back from any schools yet, and have started to go crazy with the waiting. But after plugging in my numbers to your spreadsheet, I'm feeling a lot better about my chances. I'd especially love to believe I'm an ADMIT at Berkeley!

Oof, I just created a similar sheet using a load of If/Else functions in excel. It's almost exactly the same as this one...I need to check the boards more often.

Still, awesome. Thanks!
