LSAC GPA: Dual Enrollment uses Credit Hours, Undergrad uses "Units"

Post by dynamic99 » Fri Aug 24, 2018 12:50 pm

I took dual-enrollment classes in HS through a local university. That school used traditional semester/credit hours.

My current undergrad school doesn't use hours at all. Each class is one "unit" regardless of what class it is (besides science labs).

So does that mean each of these classes would be converted to 1 semester hour by LSAC? Or would each Dual-Enrollment class be considered one "unit"? Or something else?

Tough one - I would call and ask someone over the phone. It's definitely a valid question. Of course you can just submit everything to LSAC now and see what happens. The earlier you know, the better. And the earlier you apply in a cycle, the better.
