Impact of LSAT decrease on 4th chance (CCN)

Postby etramak » Sun Dec 03, 2017 12:20 pm

Will it hurt my chances at CCN?

I canceled my second take because I was sick and went +4 on my third, which put me at CCN but below H. It was still 5 below my PT average, so I decided to retake yesterday. Long story short nerves got to me once again and I messed up a logic game that had 6 or 7 questions. Im not sure how bad it is but unless I went -1 or -2 on the rest of the test (would be a miracle) I think there's a good chance I'll decrease because of this.

This is doubly speculative. You don't actually know your score, and no one knows if a fourth take will make a difference, because it's a very rare situation that only recently became more possible.

Well, it will certainly be well below my PT average and most likely the same or a few points worse than my last take.

How bout this: Would a third retake that results in a lower score hurt a CCN applicant's chances?

No. Schools only care about your highest score.

If cavalier had a dollar for every time he/she has posted this exact response they would be very rich.

Anecdote alert. I was a borderline CCN candidate, had a decrease on my 3rd take, and got into one of them 2 weeks after the score came out
