Yes you have a shot, and small scholarships are possible, but you can't expect anything as a super splitter.

You don't really have a "gap" in employment. That six-month period of unemployment won't hurt you. The 2.99 uGPA, followed by the poor grades in your post-bacc will hurt you though. The latter will probably hurt you more than the former, as it takes away the "young, dumb, naive" undergraduate excuse.

Neither of these things will likely help appreciably. You are who you are at this point.

Since you deleted your original post, I don't know/remember the situation but these all sound like awful ideas if you're just doing them to improve LS admissions chances.
Waste of a ton of time and money.

Do NOT get a PhD to help your chances to get into law school. (Don't do a master's either, but getting a PhD to improve your chances of getting into law school is like cutting off your leg because you have a blister on your ankle.) First, it won't particularly help, but second, even if it did, it's a massive commitment of time, money, and mental energy, and you will never get through a PhD program if you do it purely to get into another grad program.

Taking additional classes won't change your LSAC GPA so it has no official effect. Getting all As in classes now might help show you've matured/improved since undergrad, but you can do that also by talking about your employment and showing in your PS how you've changed.

My situation-
2.99 GPA at top 10 liberal arts college (biochem major)

worked 2 years as a research assistant at mass general and have several publications

left work to take classes as non degree seeking to improve science gpa for medical school

i got a b+ in biochemistry and d+ in human anatomy and physiology, motivation dropped, got 2 w's spring semester. (ended with b+/d+/2w's), these grades wont count since lsac doesnt take grades after bachelors degree

Because I left my first job, I have a 1 year gap on my resume. During this time, i was taking the science courses. I then did some research on what I can do and decided to go for law school. I took the LSAT (scored a 177) and applied for jobs.

I have been working as a clinical research coordinator for 2 years.

Basically, my 3 red flags are, poor undergraduate gpa with downward trend, employment gap and poor academic record as a non degree seeking student taking biochem/human anatomy and 2 w's.

I want to know what I could do to improve my chances.

The problem is you just keep shotgunning the same information over and over again. There isn’t much else you can do to “improve” your chances beyond crafting a strong application (good PS, flawless resume, good academic LORs, etc.) and hoping you get accepted somewhere. I gave you the four most likely options that are splitter friendly. All you can do is apply and see what happens.

There’s nothing new to be said about your chances and improving them beyond people telling you not to get a masters/PhD to improve your chances.
