Submitting application before CAS report is ready

Postby dinizdeoliveira » Thu Sep 21, 2017 7:29 am

Hello all,

Is it possible to submit an application before LSAC finishes processing your transcripts? Ordinarily, I would think no, but I was checking out the Northwestern interview section and came across this information:

"You may submit your electronic application for admission before your Credential Assembly Service (CAS) report is available. "

LSAC has already processed two out of four transcripts. Of the two remaining, one has already been received (but not processed), and one has already been delivered (but not received or processed). However, in each school's application section, I can already check-out and thus go LSAC complete (if I am understanding this correctly).

Is this a wise choice? Or should I just wait it out?

Thanks!

If you can, I'm almost positive schools will not look at your file until it is complete.

So submitting it early but incomplete won't do anything. Just wait until it is complete.

It doesn't make a difference. The application isn't considered complete until the school has all the required pieces, so if you submit now, it just hangs in limbo until the transcripts are processed.

That is fair. Thanks!
