Online Master's Degree-will it hurt my applications?

Postby UHB » Wed Sep 06, 2017 3:09 am

The Air Force (kind of/sort of/it's complicated) requires for officers to be working on a master's degree to get promoted. I have been working on an online master's in history, since I thought I might as well treat it as a hobby. Two questions:

1. Will an online master's degree hurt my application to T13 law schools? When I complete it, it won't say "online," but the school is in a different location from where I am stationed, so it will probably be obvious.

2. The degree is from a UK institution, so it will not be a US GPA. Will schools really look at this or care? My undergraduate GPA is a 3.97 from a US school.

1. no
2. they'll look at it. they might ask a question about it that you should be prepared to answer. they won't ultimately care. If your LSAT is at a school's median you're, barring something extremely strange, getting in.
