Dec 4 LSAT & Applying in January

Postby TonyStark » Fri Aug 11, 2017 4:03 pm

What is the general consensus on taking the Dec 4 LSAT and applying early January? Obviously the sooner into the cycle you apply the better, but is it going to substantially hurt me to apply early January?

Thanks

You will not likely underperform your numbers. A higher LSAT in Jan is better than a low LSAT earlier in the cycle. However, if you're a splitter/reverse splitter, your chances will likely be better if you improve early.

e: Spivey is predicting that this will be an "up" cycle, so there might be more of a bump early in the cycle than I let on: http://blog.spiveyconsulting.com/predicting-to-2017-2018-law-school-cyce/
