Financial Aid: Harvard & Columbia

Post by Rdominicana15 » Mon Apr 03, 2017 8:58 am

Hello,

This is my first time on here, but I am wondering if I could use a "waitlist" at HLS to ask CLS for more money? I got into a few different schools, but I've boiled it down. Please let me know if anyone has done it, and were successful at getting more aid?

Sorry, a waitlist won't get you more aid at Columbia. Get off the waitlist, and maybe they'll come to the table. But Harvard waitlists A LOT of people. It doesn't mean you're close to getting in, and even if it did, Columbia wouldn't care.

How could a waitlist possibly make columbia want to give you more money? A waitilist is generally just a soft rejection

Wait list won't do anything for you. Maybe if you got off the WL it could do something but not the WL itself.

Have you received an aid offer from Columbia already?
