I'm still paying my credit card bills because of Miami splurging, but I totally feel you.Thomas Hagan, ESQ. wrote:I'm still paying by my credit card bills for applying to so many schools...

Well your splurging in Miami is definitely money better spent. I paid an insane amount of money on a. safeties, b. schools that gave me fee waivers, and c. rejection lettersbrinicolec wrote:I'm still paying my credit card bills because of Miami splurging, but I totally feel you.Thomas Hagan, ESQ. wrote:I'm still paying by my credit card bills for applying to so many schools...

I kind of love/hate the $30 fee. It definitely can be like $15 and below but that's the only thing that stopped me from applying to 100 schools (especially the ones with apps that auto-populate and you just have to click send) lolol

Re: how many schools did you or are you going to apply??
Honestly my cycle has been crazy but a bit predictable. I was only going to apply to 10 but ended up applying to 16. I applied to schools that sent me fee waivers. At first I was kinda feeling like I wouldn't have that many options until those fee waivers came pouring in. I'm in at all the schools I kinda suspected I'd be in now but waiting on others. I'm in at USC, Pepperdine, Chapman, Loyola, and Notre Dame. I'm still waiting on BU, UCLA, Berkeley, Stanford, and Northwestern. I have a strong feeling about Boston U. Unsure about the others lol. I only applies to Northwestern because a student emailed me and encouraged me to apply.brinicolec wrote:My list grew as my anxiety grew lol. But I feel you on c). I wasn't initially planning on applying to more than 10 or so, but I got some fee waivers to a few schools so I ended up with like 18 total applications. After I got rejected from Cornell and GW I got nervous and applied to some safeties so that made my list bigger too.

Let's see...
Yale (lol)
Harvard
Stanford
Columbia (for negotiating purposes)
Chicago (dream school)
Penn
Virginia
Berkeley
MIchigan
Northwestern
So that makes 10 for next cycle.
Of course this is all contingent on me getting that 170+ in June (or September if I have to retake).

Around 14. Only heard back from like 4 before I withdrew all my apps. Really regret the 300 bucks I wasted...

Why did you withdrew? Because you got accepted by the school you want to go? Just wondering!SweetTort wrote:Around 14. Only heard back from like 4 before I withdrew all my apps. Really regret the 300 bucks I wasted...

The school gave you enough money? You didn't keep the other schools to negotiate scholarships if it came down to it?SweetTort wrote:Yeah, essentially.Shangrilala wrote:Why did you withdrew? You can always email the admissions office and ask for a fee waiver if the school didn't give you one.Mr_Chukes wrote:Did you get fee waivers?Rigo wrote:I did 10. Couldn't afford to get too crazy.

Some don't do solicited fee waivers.Shangrilala wrote:Is this true for any schools??dbalkaran wrote:You can always email the admissions office and ask for a fee waiver if the school didn't give you one.Mr_Chukes wrote:Did you get fee waivers?Rigo wrote:I did 10. Couldn't afford to get too crazy.

I got fee waivers for every school I applied to except Harvard, Berkeley, NYU, and Columbia. I got the lsac fee waiver for them though. They gave me those merit fee waivers.Rigo wrote:Some don't do solicited fee waivers.Shangrilala wrote:Is this true for any schools??dbalkaran wrote:You can always email the admissions office and ask for a fee waiver if the school didn't give you one.Mr_Chukes wrote:Did you get fee waivers?Rigo wrote:I did 10.
