Should I Apply To Law School With These Numbers?

Postby flower85 » Sat Oct 22, 2016 9:42 am

Hello Everyone,

Took the September LSAT after studying for six months and still got a 144. *Sigh* My UGPA is a 3.34 and I've been out of school for 9 years. I've been working in the legal field for the past 5.

Should I still apply? I know that getting a job after law school can be difficult based on the school one attended so that's why I'm asking.

Thank you!

No. You should not attend any law school that will admit you with a 144.

Try to find out what isn't working about your study routine and retake if you want to go to law school.

If you want to be a lawyer, then yeah you probably just have to suck it up.

If your current job is good, may not make sense to want to be a lawyer but if your job sucks, you don't really have anything to lose by following your dreams. Just be sure you research the schools you get into and know what the odds of finding legal employment are before you take the risk. Only you know your risk thresholds and how bad you want to be a lawyer though.

This. Retake and do significantly better or accept that law school might just not be for you.
