NU ED Chances

Post by wmcelhan » Thu Oct 20, 2016 4:33 pm

I am a K-JD student. I just got my LSAT score back and it was far lower than I was PTing. I have a 165 LSAT and 4.04 LSAC GPA. Do I have any shot at NU Early Decision? NU is my dream school, and if it seems at all likely that I can get in ED I might not retake the LSAT. Please help.

I wouldn't base the decision to retake or not on whether you might have a chance at getting into NU ED. Retake if you significantly underperformed or understudied.

And I'm not sure wrt your chances at NU ED. They seem to like splitters, but I'm skeptical that reverse splitters get the same love.

NU does tend to like reverse splitters, but these numbers aren't likely to get ED. Being K-JD makes it even less likely. If NU is your goal, I'd suggest taking a year or two off, working, and getting that score up. Even with just a few more points you're likely looking at significant money from NU regardless of ED.
