LSAT Score Addendum?
I took the June 2015 LSAT without much preparation and got a 163. I am waiting for my September score, but based on my PTs I am hoping for something in the low 170s. How big of a difference between my scores would warrant writing an LSAT addendum to explain the discrepency?

You don't need to write an LSAT score addendum.

OP I am in the same boat as you. I will not be writing an Addendum. It seems really unnecessary.

What about for a 147, also with little prep, to a 158+? Does such a low score require an addendum?

Is it sufficient to explain that I'm just an asshole who didn't prepare properly and was in a hurry to take the test? Or do you think that speaks negatively to my character/ability to make good decisions?Keilz wrote:Yes and it's a big gaplula43 wrote:What about for a 147, also with little prep, to a 158+? I think that's too negative. Just say what you did to improve your score and your performance on the first one highlighted where you needed to improvrlula43 wrote:Is it sufficient to explain that I'm just an asshole who didn't prepare properly and was in a hurry to take the test? Also, you should probably say butthole instead of asshole. The latter is a little graphicKeilz wrote:I think that's too negative. Re: LSAT Score Addendum?
The addendum is still pretty unnecessary unless a school specifically asks for an explanation of a large gap. Like, if you tanked it because of a personal emergency or illness it might be worth mentioning, but I think confronted with the two scores, a school will just assume that you studied the second time around.

Re: LSAT Score Addendum?
I agree with Nonny. OP def doesn't need an addendum. Also no addendum for 147-->158.
If you jump 147-->171, then you should probably submit an addendum.
