You got Berkeley? Thought they didn't give one out?call-me-bubbles wrote:Anyone get word from Cornell? They're the only school that never responded to my fee waiver inquiry e-mail last month, and they're also the only non-T6* I haven't managed to get a waiver from. Antsy to submit already.

Re: Unsolicited Fee Waivers 2017
Anybody know why I may be getting passed up on waivers? My gpa is ~3.8 and LSAT is 173. I applied two years ago and got waivers from most of the t14.
This year I solicited in August and have received Duke pt, but otherwise nothing. My biggest issue is Michigan, which said I should get one in email.
Should I follow up with schools?

Have you checked CRS to make sure it's not already on there? Also, have you made sure your app cycle is correct on CRS?Dr.Degrees_Cr.Cash wrote:Anybody know why I may be getting passed up on waivers? My gpa is ~3.8 and LSAT is 173. I applied two years ago and got waivers from most of the t14.

Nothing from them at all so far, not even an email about their apps. Have gotten at least an email or waiver from most everywhere else on my list.call-me-bubbles wrote:Anyone get word from Cornell? It's possible that your being a re-applicant who has already received fee waivers might be playing a role in it.Dr.Degrees_Cr.Cash wrote:Anybody know why I may be getting passed up on waivers? My gpa is ~3.8 and LSAT is 173. I applied two years ago and got waivers from most of the t14.

I have been getting *some* waivers (and got Duke's pt) so I think everything is up to date. I checked pretty recently for mich. But I'll look again for the othersbrinicolec wrote:Have you checked CRS to make sure it's not already on there? Possibly, but some of the schools (mostly focused on mich right now) let people request a waiver if they received one last year so I doubt two years ago would make it worse.PDX4343 wrote:It's possible that your being a re-applicant who has already received fee waivers might be playing a role in it.Dr.Degrees_Cr.Cash wrote:Anybody know why I may be getting passed up on waivers? Same. I was incessantly refreshing my email for the waiver when I saw your post cause I purposefully held off applying hoping I'd get one, then I signed onto LSAC and saw it was waived. Thanks.anrf1225 wrote:unsolicited waiver from UChicago

Ah okay. Yeah I don't really have experience with that, just brainstorming.Dr.Degrees_Cr.Cash wrote:Possibly, but some of the schools (mostly focused on mich right now) let people request a waiver if they received one last year so I doubt two years ago would make it worse.PDX4343 wrote:It's possible that your being a re-applicant who has already received fee waivers might be playing a role in it.Dr.Degrees_Cr.Cash wrote:Anybody know why I may be getting passed up on waivers? Just got a waiver from U. Chicago, unsolicited (although I did solicit one a couple weeks ago and was referred to their waiver policy).

Did any of you guys (ones who got a waiver) already start your chicago app on LSAC?

Yes - I have so far received an unsolicited waiver from UVA, UPenn, NYU, Michigan, Chicago, Georgetown and Duke in t14. Just need a waiver from Columbia and Cornell for this cycle...brinicolec wrote:+1 CLS alsoeastring wrote:Has anybody received anything from Cornell? Should I wait or just submit my app right now haha

I just opened their app today and noticed that they don't have a Why Chicago section - I guess I don't need to write one anymore?ac8876a wrote:Did any of you guys (ones who got a waiver) already start your chicago app on LSAC?
