JCougar's story has made me absolutely terrified about the prospect of going to Washu

Though I feel for jcougar and certainly don't doubt what he is saying, his outcome is not at all the norm for recent graduates. Hiring has picked up considerably.

I don't want to hijack the medians discussion, but there's been a lot more discussion of this in the WUSTL Ask a Recent Grad thread if anyone wants more info.

I second this. I think WashU grads do well now and although it is anecdotal, I know people at median and below who have done very well securing post-grad employment.

RareExports, I definitely do not want to derail this thread, and will check out the thread you mentioned.

futago, great to hear; I'm a St. Louis native, so Washu is pretty attractive to me

For the right price WashU can be a great deal.

Any update on Georgetown stats for the class of 2019?

Any predictions as to whether their LSAT numbers will increase or decrease?

For comparison:

Vanderbilt GPA changes: 0 / -0.04 / +0.02
Vanderbilt class size change: +42

UCLA GPA changes: -0.02 / 0 / -0.02
UCLA class size change: +0

Interesting because people who were denied said that their denial letter stated that UT was reducing class size.

Is it safe to say there is a downward trend for GPAs? Looks like a number of schools dropped their GPA numbers.

I haven't really noticed that- basically the trend this year seems to be schools that maintain class size maintain GPA/LSAt or bump it marginally, and schools that bump class size a decent amount lose LSAT/GPA...

RIght?? I was hoping for the full scholly but I bet its gonna be a lot more competitive with these gains. Now I'm a lot more nervous about my sept score

Edit: also...not sure how this factors in to competitiveness but they got like 600 more apps and only matriculated 21 more people. Not sure if they sent offers to less people or if a smaller percentage accepted but still.

Was going to post GW's numbers but someone already did.

Anyone know what kind of numbers people have that usually get the presidential scholly?
