I (mostly) agree with this take, but wouldn't that mean schools like Duke, Texas, and Emory would also receive large class size increases?
Duke doesn't really place in the South so that 2 person decrease is understandable, but Texas and Emory increase would make sense....we shall see.
Duke doesn't place in the south? Aren't they called the "Harvard of the south"? I also don't know where their students place, so I should look those up before continuing this convo lmao

P.S. I know this is super anecdotal, but I have a friend who got a full ride at Vandy, and turned down a lot of T14 offers to go there. I don't know what that means for Vandy's merit aid overall, but if that is a prevalent trend, I think that would be an obvious explanation for their class size increase.
According to LST, their largest state of placement is NY at 31.3%, NC is 2nd at 13.5%, DC 3rd at 9.1%.

http://www.lstscorereports.com/schools/duke/2015/
Texas is also in their top 5.

However, since Duke is a t14 the southern explosion may not affect them. But I wonder if southern law schools in general will start to see large increases in enrollment, or if Vandy did just goof on accepting too many people....

You're kind of dramatic; also, if you can't get into BC, you're probably not going to medical school.

Well after seeing the median at lewis & clark drop a point, I'm reconsidering law school again.

I'll happily trade rising medians for falling class size.

Look at the disparity between median and 25th LSAT at CU and Richmond.

I was just thinking about that! What can we infer from that in terms of future admission cycles? If anything ...

Does that point to them putting more weight into applicants' UGPA?? Reverse splitters?

I hope not. I think (hope) it may just mean that they are having more trouble grabbing high LSAT scores (i.e. there's more competition for those in the higher scoring territory)... granted, that would have the same effect of being friendlier towards reverse splitters I suppose... just a different cause.

Well, it probably means that applicants in this desired LSAT bandwidth with decent GPA are rare for these two schools. But it is just two, so hard to read much into it as yet. Just interesting to make a mental note of to look for more, I think.

Is someone updating the spreadsheets? The Duke/BC/UCLA, etc. numbers are not up. Not trying to be a nag, just trying to keep the spreadsheet current. Thanks to OP for this useful thread!
