Just curious (or ignorant), but what is AAMPLE? I know I could look it up, but that doesn't as fun.

The Alternative Admissions Model Program in Legal Education (AAMPLE) permits applicants who otherwise would not be granted admission to compete for admission by taking two three-credit courses between May and June. The courses, scheduled during the day only, are taught by experienced full-time faculty members. Participants in the AAMPLE program are admitted to the Fall class based on a required cumulative grade point average of at least 2.50. AAMPLE is available by invitation only on-campus or online." = NSU website (ABA approved)

They have the online program for those who can not take it in Nova (law school) Basically I have to take two classes, participate in the lectures, chats etc and study my butt off and get a 2.5 or higher, which isn't bad at all. However, I was reading other forums where students were saying that the program in nova was a complete rip off and that it was just a way to steal money from most of the students. Im trying to be positive and hope that the people who wrote that were just mad because they didnt pass. Lol I dont know I need some feedback people.

Hey I went thru the AAMPLE program. It is a 6 week intense program where you take 2 classes. Crim procedure type course and Negot. instruments. Only 3 of the students in my class got in taking it. I was actually one of the 3 to get in. So I have to say, thank god for it. But I have to say anyone that really wants it bad and puts their life on hold for 6 weeks, no friends, family, put your dog up at a friends. You must devote every waking moment to it. You must learn to IRAC (issue, rule, apply, conclusion) You must learn how the graders grade by getting the grading guide as soon as possible from the graders. Study that HARD! Know the material back to front. I could or rewrote the book. Find someone from the class that may seem smart to pass ideas with or someone that is in law school now to help you. Make outlines of the classes and find old ones on the internet. Find other students in other classes taking aample and get their tests that their teachers do. Ask your teacher for extra work when you dont know what to do with yourself. It is the most intense 6 weeks of your life, but if its your dream and your only way into law school, you must devote yourself. I must say it was worth it when you get in, and even if you don't cause then you know if you tried hard, it was meant to be or not meant to be. Yes it is a rip off if you dont pass. But since you cant into school any other way, take what you can get and show them up. The material isnt hard, so it is really up to you to make it happen.

On my first 2 aample practice quizzes I failed them! So do not let that get you down if you fail, or even if you don't fail, don't stop studying!

I just finished my first year of law school, so I hope you can be where I am because of this program. GOOD LUCK!

In another post you said that 5 out of the 30 students in your AAMPLE program passed. Doesn't everyone who passes "get in?"

i would suppose that like most other things just because you are accepted (pass) you don't necessarily attend. because of whatever reason.

Yes.... but I think these are people who already attended what almost amounts to a provisional program. They pay big bucks to attend 2 classes for six weeks. If they pass, they're in. I think that's the way it works anyway. I was just wondering if the poster could clear up the discrepancy. I may be wrong about how the program actually works.

Sorry, I did mean 5 (not 3) of the students passed out of 30. Yes, if you pass you are in and gain a seat into the law school like any other student that was accepted regularly.
