Top Law Schools

So I recently turned down full scholarships from regional schools in areas where I would like to work/have ties (west coast) in order to take a full scholarship to an east-coast T14. However, I'm starting to panic about moving across the country, and I'm wondering if I'm an idiot for choosing a higher ranked school thousands of miles away when I could potentially get the result I want from a local school. I'm worried that I will get to the east coast and not be able to make it back to one of the secondary markets where I want to work and have ties. I would like to work at a large firm in a secondary market, but a small firm in a secondary market would be my next choice. I have no desire to live on the east coast or in a major city. However, I didn't choose a regional school because I'm not ready to limit myself to just one market yet, and since I have ties to several different states, I wanted to keep those options open. Am I just getting cold feet, or are my concerns/fears legitimate?

You made the right choice. From a T-14 you should have your pick of jobs for your chosen market.

Perfectly normal to have cold feet. Don't worry about it.

Full ride USC > GULC @ sticker if you want to work in Cali so it might be warranted.

You'll be fine, OP.

You have a full ride from a T14, that's a great spot to be in. With that degree in hand you should be able to land at least a small firm in your market of choice, the question is just whether you'll be able to land biglaw, which depends on your grades. Onward to victory, OP!

Thanks for all the responses everyone! I don't think I'd mind working in a small firm, I just wasn't sure how hard it is to get a job in a small market from a T14. These posts have made me feel better about my decision though.
