What are your thoughts on racial preference in law school admissions? Is this even a significant factor in law school admissions? Do you thinks this is fair or unfair?

URM status isn't a significant factor, yeah there is some boost in admissions I guess but I'm pretty sure you gotta work your ass off and great the grades in law school cuz no firm is going to hire a URM solely because they are a URM. urm admissions also don't effect non-urm admissions, so as far as it being "fair" or "unfair" is ultimately irrelevant.

Unfair? I don't think so,but who cares? Is anything in life fair?

Overrated? Yes, to the degree that I feel that it has opened more doors for me, but I don't think its significant enough to get someone into a place where they ordinarily wouldn't have any shot at.

Its not just:

Student: "I have a 120, can I get into your prestigious Law school?"

Yale: "Uhhhhhhhhhh"

Student: "I'm (insert X skin color)"

Yale: "Oh why of course! Take a full scholarship too!"
