1) oh well

2) cause clearly many people would have better outcomes if they went to UChi instead of YLS

I really, really try not to jump on the 'Shut up Neurotic' bandwagon. But this is just so stupid. And pointless. And sad.

Whether this is intended to be serious or sarcastic, it's a stupid thread and we're all lessened because of it.

Yale will pay your debt if you can't make enough money?
http://www.law.yale.edu/admissions/finaid_COAP.htm
So some students may choose PI/other low pay job if they can‘t make clerkship.
Biglaw job is for ordinary (non Yale) law students who lack wisdom and vision and ~~~ and ~~~
And if you work biglaw your hourly pay maybe lower than PI considering the loan forgiveness.

Yeah seems like very few people go to Yale to do biglaw. Most Yalies have offers with lots of $$ from CCN, which makes more sense if you're just headed to a firm anyway. So don't think BL numbers are a sign of weakness at all, and as for the other half of those stats we all know they dominate clerkships.

Federal clerkship:
Stanford: 30.48%
Yale: 25.65%

Very few people (perhaps none) at Johns Hopkins Med got biglaw or fed clerk. In fact, I would suspect there have been more federal clerkships from most TTTs than Johns Hopkins Med.

But I digress, we all should just go to dental school, really.

Yeah but fuck me if I'd call SLS "middle of the pack" haha, so this doesn't lend any credence to the theory that Yale's numbers imply it is anything less than stellar, which seems to be the premise of this thread

The 10 unemployed and 20 school funded from Yale is interesting though, I'm guessing at least some of these are people who shot for unicorn jobs and missed

I thought the idea was that school-funded jobs out of Yale were actually a legit entree into PI?

I'm sure they're miles ahead of Emorys, but I can't imagine it's anyone's first choice to be working for the school instead of the ACLU/NAACP etc
