No reason to not ask for more money. Most schools have a set amount that is awarded. My two cents: you should sleuth to see what that amount is and ask for the specific amount, rather than simply ask for more money.
3.4% of students at UCLA have a > full ride scholarship.
0.7% of students at USC have a > full ride scholarship.
