Question on retaking in June

Postby Bigfish41 » Tue Mar 24, 2015 11:49 pm

I apologize in advance if there are multiple threads on this, I couldn't find a concrete/ direct answer.

So, can one deposit at school X and retake the June test to negotiate for more $$$? Would a lower score rescind your offer? Do we have to let the school know about the planned retake? Thanks a bunch

Not sure about your other questions but a school will not rescind your scholarship offer if you score lower. Your highest LSAT is what counts.

Similar questions to OP so I'm including them here:

Would notifying a school of an upcoming June retake signal to them that you are more serious about potentially waiting out a cycle and thus increase your leverage for a higher offer this cycle?

Is it possible or even likely to have success getting off an upper T14 waitlist with a higher June LSAT? Especially if it gets you from median to above 75th?

so there wouldnt really be any downside to retaking (minus paying the test fee)

Confirmed. Highest LSAT is what matters ... Schools couldn't care less about anything else.
