LSAC Transcript Processing Turnaround

Postby sandwhich » Thu Mar 05, 2015 7:37 pm

Has anyone sent a transcript to LSAC and had it processed recently? I'm just trying to figure out about how long it's taking them to process them right now.

Mine was mailed out from the West Coast of Canada and got processed 8 business days later.

Turnaround is generally quick but sometimes schools are not particularly efficient getting transcripts to LSAC.

Case in point, I had to get three transcripts, one from my BA institution, one from a local community college, one from a local public four year school where I took some classes after graduation. My BA institution sent the transcript quickly and LSAC completed it right away. The community college had to send it multiple times (not sure if the college or LSAC was the problem) and I had to spend time working with the public four year school to get some erroneous charges off my record before they sent the transcript. Solving the issues with the latter two schools caused a several week delay getting my transcript summary from LSAC.

Bottom line, request the transcripts be sent right away.

Had them overnight it, but it was on a Friday, so hopefully it got there the following Monday, which was this past Monday. I'm hoping that it get's processed today or early next week!

It took between 7-10 days from the date I requested them for LSAC to email me to say they had received and processed them. Just a quick warning, the school where I took coursework for my teaching credential sent someone else's transcript and LSAC still just uploaded it to my account. Thankfully, I caught it before it was sent to any law schools. I would definitely check to make sure the dates are correct.

Just to clarify you don't mean business days right? And I'm assuming you meant grades when you said dates?

Yeah I'll definitely check though. Geese I hope something like that doesn't happen.
