Also, can somebody explain to me the why behind Peer Assessment. It sounds like the dumbest thing, but apparently it's weighted to be 1/4 of the ranking metric.

Employer assessment makes more sense, since they're the ones offering jobs. Why do we care what HLS faculty thinks of CLS vs Penn?

If the USNWR rankings were like 75% LST employment score and 25% some combination of the other nonsense they care about, I'd be pretty happy

Ok yeah that would be more interesting. Plus idk I don't think that USNWR will ever fall for law schools mainly because of their grip over the UG scene. If they were replaced by something better for UGs then I could see things changing up in the law school realm, but otherwise nah. Plus again damn ATL rankings using SCOTUS placement and cost really screwed their attempt up.

I also think it should be mandatory that pre-law advisors show kids LST slash know about LST. I email one of my old professors a lot and showed him LST, and he was like holy shit I'm sending this to the pre-law guy b/c kids need to know this. People are slowly starting to realize that law school isn't a great investment generally, but still if you don't put all of the numbers in front of someone they can easily try to rationalize it away.

Seems to be quite a bit of respect for Duke in here. Not complaining, but curious as to why people feel that way? Is it mostly just that people think Michigan and Berkeley are going to slide a bit?
