Hello,
I was wondering how I should address the fact that I have dropped classes + and P/F some, as well as taking a semester off.
The reason that I have dropped classes is because they did not fulfill expectations (I was taking a class on Karl Marx that ended up being dedicated significantly to Hegel and Zizek) and because I was simply doing too much (dropped German because it was an intensive German course, and I already had my foreign language credit through Spanish and Russian).
I took a semester off to help my parents out at home (dad was in construction industry). Took basic classes at the community college, and worked full time as a gas analyst. I was not on academic probation nor was I in danger of receiving an academic consequence... Merely circumstances.
So, should I take time to explain this, or what guys?
Thanks!

no, it's not that big a deal, explaining it would only draw attention to it.

Sweet! Thanks! I didn't want to have to write a statement.alaird21 wrote:no, it's not that big a deal, explaining it would only draw attention to it.
Do I mention it in my application, though? I mean, check the yes/no box?

I wouldn't mention it. what does the question ask for the yes/no box?
let your resume explain the semester off (that you were a gas analyst during the break)
