Question about Transcript

Post by sottovoce » Fri Dec 12, 2014 8:11 am

Hi,

Quick question here. I fell ill a semester and was forced to receive and Incomplete in a class since I couldn't finish the work on time, but I got an A in the class. On my transcript it is noted at IA. The incomplete was non-punitive. Does this mean the A grad will not be factored into my lsac gpa?

On their website it seems to indicate that this grade would be excluded:
http://www.lsac.org/policies/transcript ... zation.asp

"Grades Excluded From Conversion

* Withdraw, Withdraw/Pass—only if the issuing school considers the grade nonpunitive.
* Incomplete—only if the issuing school considers the grade nonpunitive"

Thanks for the help.

Would a yay or nay stop you from going to law school? It seems your best bet is to just submit the transcript to LSAC and find out. Or call customer service if it is really a question you need answering before paying for the CRS.
