Obligatory post thanksgiving-break panic posts here.

Postby Force J.D.'s » Tue Dec 02, 2014 5:51 am

..I'll start this off with a basic question...

With "rolling admissions," does every single application get reviewed from front to back in the order they came in?

As someone with numbers on the margins, my post thanksgiving panic tells me to assume that those with weak #s get brushed aside to be thoroughly reviewed, or considered, until the school has secured the creme'de'la'creme talent out there.

To add to the panic, admits are rolling in via admissions threads on here for some, if not most, T-14 schools.

Thanks.

The exact order of review is pretty immaterial.
Applicants with strong numbers do get admitted early on, whereas applicants below median are more likely to be held into the spring when adcoms will have a better idea of what they need to reach their target class profile. If you are at or below 25%tile then a waitlist offer is more likely than an outright acceptance.
Needless to say, with some reach schools you should be preparing to wait awhile rather than hearing back in the next month or so.

Delayed, WL'd, and on the fringes sounds logical, and likely to happen. Thanks.

Maybe a token amount, but nothing significant.

Also, strongly consider retaking. A higher LSAT can be extremely useful in moving you off a waitlist and for scholarship negotiation.
