Missing one letter of recommendation

Post by kgodsey » Thu Oct 30, 2014 9:35 am

If my entire application is complete, but I am still missing one of my letters, should I go ahead and submit my application? Assuming that the CAS will send my report when the last letter is complete?

Same boat. I submitted. LSAC just didn't send it to schools that require 2, and will send it automatically once that comes in. Mostly just submitted out of excitement; don't think its really a strategic thing.

That said, if schools have a minimum of 1, LSAC will send it, so if you definitely want those schools to have both letters, either wait to submit, or ask the school to please hold off on reviewing until the second letter arrives. I asked UMich to do the latter, which they said was totally fine.

Thank you! Luckily my professor sent in his letter of recommendation a couple hours after I submitted my application. I submitted it primarily out of excitement as well. Good luck!
