Question about GPA.

Post by DSD2013 » Sat Aug 30, 2014 12:50 pm

Hey everyone,

I am taking the upcoming LSAT and have a UG GPA of 3.75. I only have a few classes left to finish before graduating. This semester, I could take 6 credits and next semester 12 credits and my overall GPA will end up being a 3.77 provided that I get a 4.0 both semesters. However, I do have a scholarship at my university that allows me to get half of my tuition paid if I sign up for 12 credits (full time). I am thinking of doing that this semester (i.e. take two classes that I don;t need but will be easy A's). I have calculated everything and my GPA will be a 3.795 by the time I graduate. I know this seems somewhat overly thought, but will a 3.795 GPA be much of a difference from a 3.77 GPA?

Thank you.

negligible differences. Your GPA is good, go knock out the LSAT.

.025 isn't statistically significant.
You would get a better return using that extra time studying for LSAT (and acing your two needed classes) than worrying about two extra bullshit classes.
