It's a nice soft, but I wouldn't expect it to be a game changer.

You mention you're considering joining the Navy. Really, I think this is the best thing you can do for law school, if you're willing to wait three years. You can A) get the Post 9/11 GI Bill, which will make the T14 free or heavily discounted and B) get one of the few softs that really is a game changer: veteran status.

It sounds like you're overvaluing softs. With nearly a 4.0, the LSAT will get you wherever you want. You don't need game-changing softs because the game looks to be in your favor.

Don't do it for law school, it sounds awesome in and of itself.

That's what I was thinking. Will the fact that I have to obtain a secret security clearance be any kind of added (albeit small) soft bonus?

If you weren't before, you're just preening now. It's a great experience and you should do it, but it will not substantially affect your admissions chances at a T6.

Sounds like a great experience, congrats. Use the internship to learn and grow as an individual. Then when you come back buckle down and study hard for the LSAT to get a 168+ to pair with that GPA, and T6 should result.
