So I'm sending off a bunch of letter of continued interest to all the schools that waitlisted me. I was wondering, does everyone who get waitlisted and decide to stay on the list send one in? Like has it become a norm and only by sending one in yourself do you level the playing field?
I'm simply curious because that is the impression that I get because everyone says that is how you set yourself apart from other waitlisted applicants, so it would make sense if everyone does that to get an edge.

Your post title makes my skin crawl.
The majority of people probably do not send in LOCIs. They are prevalent among TLS readers because so much information is available here.

It's really hard to say. I believe people send LOCIS to one school they are REALLY interested in and decide not to send to others. This gives applicants in those other schools a boost if that school is their number one school.

In regards to your question, not necessarily. I'd suppose it depends on the person/school/circumstances.

Well who commits to law school with that much debt and not research? I feel every law school applicant uses TLS or at least some sort of online resource.Ricky-Bobby wrote:Your post title makes my skin crawl.

You'd be surprised by how many people just listen to pre-law advisers or stop at US News and other such nonsense.
