NYU Intention to Enroll
To submit your initial deposit for NYU you have to check a box next to which the text reads:
"I plan to enroll at NYU School of Law in Fall 2014. I have no commitment to attend another law school, have not deferred enrollment at another law school, will not apply to another law school, have withdrawn from other law schools to which I was admitted, and will not request to be reinstated at any law school from which I have withdrawn."
Is this true? By checking this box am I stating that I have withdrawn from all the other law schools to which I was admitted? Has anyone signed the NYU Intention to Enroll document and also paid the seat deposits for other law schools?
Thanks!

IDK if people have double-deposited, but it seems pretty self-explanatory. You'll have to withdraw from any school to which you've been admitted, but you're allowed to stay on WLs.

What happens if a school finds out you have doubly deposited?james.bungles wrote:but if you're being sneaky or still negotiating at another school, you have until May 15 when LSAC sends the list of double depositors

They'll normally bully you about it first, rather than a straight rescind without warning.chizzy wrote:rescind your offer.jacketyellow wrote:What happens if a school finds out you have doubly deposited?james.bungles wrote:but if you're being sneaky or still negotiating at another school, you have until May 15 when LSAC sends the list of double depositors

probably not all schools, im just basing it off from columbia's own rules.jk148706 wrote:Are u talking specifically NYU or any school? Bc I don't think most schools would rescind your offer. Re: NYU Intention to Enroll
Thanks all! Kinda dumb of me but I thought possibly they kind of just wrote that memo without really meaning it. I've looked into and they wouldn't know about my double deposit until ~May 12th but, yeah, at that point it would be a problem.
