Columbia requires submission of a Dean's Certification. On the form, it has a box to waive the matriculant's right to see the form. It says this waiver is optional and will not affect matriculation.
Is there any reason I should sign this? I am conjuring weird situations in my head where they mistakenly say something negative about me and it hurts me because I never see ti to correct it. I have nothing I am worried about to be disclosed, but I am wondering if there is any point in signing the waiver.

Re: Dean's Certification Waiver?
I would just waive my right, personally. If there is some discrepancy between the cert and what you put on your apps, the law school would presumably contact you, no? So why give them a reason to think you are hiding anything?

FWIW, when I contacted my UG about filling out the form I was told that they would only complete it if I waived. Just anecdotal, I know, but I imagine that it would be similar at other UGs.

Cool, sounds like I should just do it then. Thanks!

One of my UGs was like this as well, might as well just do it and save yourself any hassle.theotherone823 wrote:FWIW, when I contacted my UG about filling out the form I was told that they would only complete it if I waived.
