Volunteering at DA's office?

Post by DKM » Mon Mar 31, 2014 10:43 pm

How common is it for 0L's to spend time volunteering at a District Attorney's office? From what I find on Google, some offices have applications for volunteers, but the office that I would volunteer at does not. This would not be for school credit (school starts back up in the fall for me). I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to shoot an email asking if there was anything I could help out with for a few hours a week, but is does there tend to be volunteer work at a DA's office for those not in law school?

It happens, but it depends on the office. My local DA for undergrad took volunteers, but they basically just shadowed and did menial copying/printing tasks. It can't hurt to e-mail.
